Hawaii Hula Film Festival (HHFF) is an annual event, fixating upon Hula dance cinema and the preservation and celebration of Hawaiian culture.
The creation of the logo was the primary task. First of all, I experimented with making a monogram logo. Then I incorporated this logo into posters which used illustration and photography. As I continued with the design process, I chose to use only typography for the posters and a limited color palette as a challenge. Designing the pattern with the letterforms was a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
